How much does the 2015 Subaru Impreza cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

Is the 2015 Subaru Impreza a good car?

Generally — you’re looking at a 4/5 user-rated car with an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

The 2015 Impreza is framed as a practical compact commuter with standard all-wheel drive, better interior amenities, a quieter cabin, and improved in-cabin tech. It’s also described as a balanced everyday choice rather than an exciting one, with capability and usefulness taking priority over performance.

32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Subaru Impreza reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Impreza’s reliability case leans on its practical, all-weather mission and Subaru’s emphasis on capability and ownership value. The expert material also points to Subaru’s strong resale reputation and low cost of ownership, which supports the idea that this car is built for steady, everyday use rather than high-drama ownership.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is making sure the car has been maintained well, since the model’s appeal depends on dependable daily use and all-wheel-drive confidence.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Subaru Impreza?

At 54.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the cabin and technology features still work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup runs from 2.0i to 2.0i Premium and 2.0i Limited in sedan form, with the hatchback offered in Premium and Limited trims. The base setup is the most economical way into the car, while Premium packages add 17-inch wheels and rocker panels, and Limited trims bring the larger 7-inch touchscreen.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 2.0-liter flat-4 with 148 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. The CVT is standard on most trims, while the 5-speed manual is limited to the base and Sport Premium models.
• Safety package: EyeSight is standard on the 2.0i Premium trim and includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and pre-collision braking. The rest of the lineup gets 4-wheel antilock disc brakes plus stability and traction control.
• Infotainment: A 6.2-inch touchscreen is standard, and a 7-inch touchscreen is available in Limited trims. The system is easy to use, and a rear backup camera is standard across all models.
• Fuel efficiency: With the CVT, the Impreza returns 27/36/31 mpg city/highway/combined. The standard 5-speed manual lowers those figures slightly.

Which 2015 Subaru Impreza trim should I buy?

The 2015 Subaru Impreza is offered in 5 trim levels: 2.0i, 2.0i Premium, 2.0i Limited, Premium, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0i: This is the entry point if you want the lowest-cost way into the Impreza’s standard all-wheel-drive setup and basic equipment.
• 2.0i Premium: This is the trim that stands out for value because it adds EyeSight with adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and pre-collision braking.
• 2.0i Limited: Choose this if you want the more upscale cabin experience, including the available 7-inch touchscreen and the most feature-rich feel in the lineup.
• Premium: This trim is the better pick if you want the hatchback body style with a more equipped setup than the base model.
• Limited: This is the top hatchback choice if you want the most complete mix of utility and comfort.

The safety-package trim note is simple: EyeSight is standard on the 2.0i Premium trim, while the rest of the lineup relies on the standard brake and stability hardware.

What is the 2015 Subaru Impreza's resale value?

The current average of $10,205 sits slightly below last year's $10,257.

That small decline suggests the market has stayed fairly stable, which is helpful if you’re planning to sell later. You’re not looking at a model with sharp price swings, so a well-kept example should remain relatively easy to position against similar listings. Strong value perception and steady demand can help support a cleaner resale story over time.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Subaru Impreza safe?

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The EyeSight suite is standard on the 2.0i Premium trim and includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and pre-collision braking. The rest of the lineup gets 4-wheel antilock disc brakes plus stability and traction control.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It brings a mid-cycle facelift, better interior materials, and upgraded technology inside.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $9,189, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $10,205 average.
• It offers affordable, versatile, efficient all-wheel-drive practicality.

The bottom line: If you want the better-rounded Impreza, the 2015 is the stronger pick because it improves the cabin, tech, and overall polish without losing the model’s core all-weather usefulness. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2014 is the value play, but you give up some of the refinement that makes the 2015 easier to live with.
