Used 1986 Chevrolet Camaro for Sale nearChicago, IL

This car has been my favorite car of all time. I always dreamed of owning one since I was 5. I now have one, and am currently saving to rebuilt it. Even in near stock form, it ran low 15's with economy gears, and still got 22 mpg cruising. The tall gears propelled it to 160 before I ran out of gear. The stock 305 is typicly tossed aside by most people, but it is a good engine and made a lot of torque. 4 wheel disc brakes stopped it quick although it could use a little more rear bias for firmer stopping with less dive. Fun car to drive, easily rolled burnouts into second gear and sounds great with a loud exhaust. I always had heads turning but never got much attention from cops.

I bought my 86 IrocZ after owning several 1978-1980 camaro's and I did like them but after driving the 86 Im in love with it the way it looks and drives is the best I have ever had I bought it with a 305 but I wanted more power so I built a 350 for it and got what I was looking for I would not sell or trade that car for anything im 100% HAPPY with it

I only had the car for a very short time. Insurance at that time as young as I was in that year just killed me. I had to sell the car after only about 8 or 9 months. But I would love to get my hand on one that has been taken care of. The after market mods. are limitless. So is horsepower and speed. I was A Police officer during this time period (had to resign due to a knee injury) but these are the cars that we trained in on the high speed training course. 215HP may not seem like much. But with some minor rear end changes and advance the timing a little some after market air cleaners, headers, and you had what felt like a rocketship. And really I never had any problems that kept mine in the shop. I'ts like I always say take care of your car and it will take care of you. Terry

Performance - is decent its not the fastest car out there but its fun to drive. Build Quality - is good the doors need realigning though. and little rattles here and there. Appearance - i love the styling of 3rd gen camaros. the interior is red and black! i wouldn't change a thing about it. Cost - gas mileage is not to great 15 city and 20 highway but hey it's a v8. Fun - its a blast!

My car is my absolute favorite car ever!! I love absolutely everything about it!!! It is my favorite body style Camaro...aside from a '69...but I can't exactly afford to buy, let alone drive one. Handles like a DREAM!!! Need to replace the rear end cause the clutches are worn (i.e. burn-outs are kind of pathetic), re-enforce the frame so I can put more power in it, get the IROC 2.5 inch cowl hood and IROC rear wing, and louvers for the rear hatch, and then paint it black. And then I think I will be pretty much good.
