In late 1966, General Motors created an options package sales code that would push its Camaro performance car over the top to become a driving icon. The Camaro Z/28 landed to take on the Mustang, and featured a more powerful engine, upgraded suspension, and appearance changes that set it apart from the standard model. The trim has been an on-again, off-again part of the car’s lineup since the early days and got what will likely be its final run in the early 2010s. Enthusiasts got the Camaro of their dreams.
