1986 Chevrolet Camaro Preview summaryImage

In the era of "Baby on Board" hangtags, Camaro jumped on adding the safety bandwagon by adding third break light, but declined to put in any space for the aforementioned baby. The 1986 Camaro featured a new third break light within the hatch, and continued to feature a back seat so limited in space that it was only slightly safer than Britney Spears' baby's perch in her lap.

Like other models from the Third Generation, the 1986 Camaro was cited for being in the shop quite a bit. However, the excitement of the ride when the car is on the road seems to compensate for the extra work needed to be put in the car. The acceleration and cornering were excellent, and the car's top speed seems almost limitless at times.

Received this from my Dad, brand spanking new in 1986. It was metallic blue with grey interior. I learned to do figure-eights and doughnuts in this car -- not only in the snow but on dry pavement too. It was a blast to drive. Gas was cheap then, maybe $ 0.70 cents for each gallon.Feb 02, 2012

this is an amazing car to be driving anywhere. it only has a 305 manual. it has an aftermarket stereo, and i will be putting some more money in it eventually, but that is hard to come by these days. Jul 08, 2011
