"I emailed the dealership about a car. Admittedly I used what might be politely termed 'colourful language' in my description of how overpriced I thought the vehicle in question was. The dealership emailed me back. Apparently they found my 'metaphors' unwelcome and in the email they asked me to take my business elsewhere in language at least as colourful. Since both their advertised price and their hefty dealer fee were beyond reasonable limits, I don't feel my language was inappropriate. It was, in fact, merely descriptive. Unsurprisingly I took their advice not to contact them again. I bought almost the same vehicle from a private seller very soon afterward for hundreds of dollars less. I consider my choice a wise one. If I were in the market for a used car, I would avoid patronising this dealership. No matter how rude a customer might choose to be, no dealership should ever treat potential customers in kind. It's simply not a good idea."

"The sales manager called me after I told one of their sales reps I decided to go with a deal I had at another dealership. He made a plea to match their offer. After I told him I was still going with the other dealership he became irate and started questioning my decision, saying that his lifetime power train should make me take his offer. I told him no because I do not plan on keeping the car more than a few years and I like to change my own oil.(which voids the powertrain) He became even more angry and told me that I was stupid for not getting my car serviced because I won't save money, and the oil I'll buy at auto zone is bad quality. After I told him that statement was incorrect and I have changed the oil myself on every car I've had and never had a problem , he became even more furious, let out what sounded like a whine, said "you know what buddy" followed by hanging up the phone. Tips for the sales manager. 1.) It's your customers right to choose to go with another dealer, let it go. 2.) changing oil yourself on synthetic saves half the cost. 3.)you shouldn't ever call a customers decision stupid because you don't agree with it. And 4.) I would love to see some evidence that dealership oil is so much better than Mobil1, Pennzoil, or Valvoline."
