We would have purchased this vehicle but they started playing games when it came to financing. We decided to go to a dealer close by and purchased a new Leaf for basically the same out the door amount due to Classic's dealer fees, etc. Our sales rep was nice. Your best bet is to have financing terms settled before you go in so you have some info to do battle with.

Patient professional reasonable..

Classic Mazda is the classic example of the lying used car dealer. The use bait and switch tactics just to get you in. When you get there to look at a car they said they wanted to sell you, it was mysteriously sold. When they said they tried to contact you, the phone number was in explainable one digit off. However, they did call the night before and even had the ordasity to call later about future sales. Do not trust anything these lying sacks have to say.

Unethical!! I Made an offer to buy a car at their advertised price. The car had a problem I noticed in the photos posted on their website (which I pointed out to the sales associate). I was very specific that I'd buy the car if the problem was fixed. A few hours later he called me back and told me the car (a Mercury) would have to go to a local Ford dealer for repairs. It may take a couple of days "so be patient" and he would call me back when it was fixed. I offered to make a down payment to show my commitment. He said their policy was that they typically didn't do that for used cars but he'd "work with his manager to see what could be done" since I wanted to buy the car but was didn't live locally. A couple of days went by and I didn't hear from the sales associate. I called and asked to speak to him to get an update. After being put on hold a manager answered and told me the associate I wanted to speak with was supposedly with another customer. Then he asked me was I calling about the Mercury. I said yes and he told me it had been sold the night before. I, of course, was upset as I had made a very clear commitment to buy the car, had been told by the associate to "be patient" while it was repaired and had even offered to make a down payment (via credit card or wire transfer) to show my commitment while it was repaired. The manager told me they didn't hold used cars and asked why I didn't buy it. I explained that I found the car on the internet, that I lived 500 miles away and couldn't just come into the dealership as easily as someone who lived locally. When I came it would be to pick up the car, not do preliminary paperwork while it was under repair. His response was that the policy of their dealership was that they took no types of electronic payment furthermore, that all paperwork and payment was done in person. I questioned why they advertised on the internet without making that clear. Also, why did the associate who spoke with me not know that? Why didn't he call me back? The response from the manager was that he had "dropped the ball" and he'd cover that with him. In the end, the manager was very unsympathetic toward my being mislead by the sales associate and seemed to have the attitude that "well the car's gone, tough luck". Classic Mazda makes the claim that "buyer's remorse " doesn't exist with them and other lofty claims about making the car buying experience pleasant. That they are different. They imply they work harder to take care of a customer's needs. However, I found them to be the typical, slick, unethical poster child for used car sales that gives car dealers a bad name.

I rate fair since we looked and test drove the vehicle. He came back with a random your looking around this for payments. No actual bank contact, I just felt like selling a car was not top priority. He didn't even suggest anything else. And when asked about the van his answer was I don't know about these I don't work for Chrysler. Needless to say I went to off lease only and got a vehicle I love at the price I could afford. All things happen for a reason.

I originally had an appointment to look at this car, however I went to the wrong dealership and never made it to look at the vehicle. They continued to call to try and reset the appointment. I bought a car from the other dealership, so I give them an A for effort.
