Headlight switch

Asked by Feb 18, 2014 at 01:37 PM about the 1990 Pontiac Firebird Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In my 1990 firebird, the switch for the high and low beams lights in my car doesn't work. I
mean I have lows and everything else works. Besides the high. And I was wondering
what it could be

I think it would be the turn signal switch or check your head lights mahe sure the high beam works

Well when you pull them back for the high, it doesn't click

You probably have a bad turn signal switch

Turn signal high low beam is all in 1 switch

Yeah, everything else work beside the highs

They are not that expensive. Do you know a decent mechanic?

Check the high beam relay also, but if you're not hearing a click from the column stalk then Hector is right, the switch is probably broken.

Yeah, why?

That's what is was thinking, but wasn't really for sure
