My brother has 1992 firebird that was sitting for a
few years it needed new plugs then ran fine but
then he put a "new" fuel pump in it and it won't
start we tested for spark and fuel pressure it has

shorted or have went bad

Well my brother disconnected the battery for awhile and doesn't that reset the ECM? so that shouldn't be a problem right?

Yeah I'm aware that all the codes would now be gone and I'm not happy about it

Ok 2 things 1 I'm stupid it's a 91 and 2 we were trying to start it up fixed a vacuum leak we found but the car likes to spit fire out of the intake manifold and still won't start, could whatevers causing this be what's preventing it to start and what would be causing it maybe the intake valve?
