Could be bad O2 Sensors, a weak opti, coil, or ICM. Describe to us under what conditions the vehicle runs poorly. Also, is there a smell of unburnt fuel from the exhaust?

The ICM is the Ignition Control Module. It sends a signal to the distributor for when to fire the spark plugs. Though, usually when it fails, the problems present themselves after the vehicle warms up. If it barely idles, it sounds more like a problem with the coil or Optispark.

exhaust smells rich? does it seem to have a cool operating temp? if so, it could be a bad coolant thermostat.
