Have a 1993 pontiac trans am seems ti be getting to much fuel and runs bad
Could be bad O2 Sensors, a weak opti, coil, or ICM. Describe to us under what conditions the vehicle runs poorly. Also, is there a smell of unburnt fuel from the exhaust?
What is the icm and it barely idolsand does smell like burnt feel from exhaust
What is the icmand where is it located it barely idols and it smells of unburned at exhaust
The ICM is the Ignition Control Module. It sends a signal to the distributor for when to fire the spark plugs. Though, usually when it fails, the problems present themselves after the vehicle warms up. If it barely idles, it sounds more like a problem with the coil or Optispark.
exhaust smells rich? does it seem to have a cool operating temp? if so, it could be a bad coolant thermostat.
