Anyone have or having issues with their bonneville not starting all the time.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ill go out to fire it up and it does nothing. All the lights and radio etc will come
on fine. If I try to turn it over 2 or 3 times quick it will either start or all the lights
and stuff will start to blink out. There's no security light on. There is a check
engine light but its for an o2 sensor. Then if i just wait it will fire up. But it also
has a low or night idle and if I hit like my electric seat button to adjust it will lose
ppower for a second. But when I am driving its got power.... And the battery and
stuff is good I've checked em. Any help would be great thanks.

If the security light remains on 1) Check the steering wheel column for a broken wire at the ignition switch . Unfortunately this means remove the column with puller and check the ignition switch . If it appears that the one of the two wires is broken , the ignition lock and key will need to be replaced and repair . Security feature of a coded key .
