My car died at a stop light and won't turn back on!

Asked by Aug 10, 2014 at 02:29 PM about the 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Driving my car back on the highway and it died after I stopped at the off ramp light. My stereo and A/C were running normally. I didn't even notice the car had shut off until I went to turn and the power steering wasn't working. I tried jumping it multiple times but every time I turn it over it makes a single click noise. Any help??

Check, tighten and clean your battery terminals. Also check battery voltage.

Did this just now happen? If so turn key to on position and check temp gauge. Is it in the red ?

no it happened last Monday. all of the gauges were reading fine at the time.
