Repairing broken drive shift

Can somebody explain to me, with instructions,
how to fix a broken drive shift on the 1998 Ford E-
250 Econoline Cargo Van (I don't know if it's
Extended, or not Extended, so it would be great if
you could explain both of them to me, or just one
of them to; whatever you guys can do for me;
whichever type of information you can provide to
me); and, if possible, can you dumb it down for
me?

If it is just a U joint a mechanic can install a new one. A damaged driveshaft means buying a new or used one. A driveshaft shop can make you a new one.

I put in a brand new battery. It starts up fine when cold. After I drive it on a long trip it drags like it doesn't want to start. When i let it cool for several hours it starts right up fine.

i have a 1991 econoline van, i recently put a new starter,alternator,battery,selonoid,battery, cables, ( which i had to use an extention on the cables ground to hook it to the original ground on the engine) my problem is when i drive and stop it won't start back up but if it sits for about an hour it will start again, but now it seems that the battery is run down and i have to re-charge the battery for over 5 hours and it didn't take a full re-charge any suggestion. thank you 1 Answer
