Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 85 ford e150 half ton van it has a
big fuel problem. That i cant solve i have
changed the pump on it, i changed both
filters one on carborator and inline filters. I
put a new carborator kit on it and new
ignition switch. The van will start but once i
put it in gear it dies out. When i do get it to
start and go i start to climb a little hill or
incline and it dies out. Then i have to prime it
just to get it started again. And somtimes
that dont work. So i have no clue what else
is going wrong. Can you please help me
solve my problems.

There is a fuel regulator that is vacuumed controlled it possible you have a vacuum leak The regulator pressure around 39 psi, unless you are pulling up a hill, which lowers the vacuum, which raises the fuel pressure.
