Need to find the type of fuse and where to put it in the fuse box.

Asked by MDX_201213 Mar 14, 2017 at 09:07 PM about the 1997 Ford E-Series E-150 STD Econoline

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Someone took the cover to my fuse box next to the steering wheel.  Long story
short.  I pulled out the fuse to my windshield wipers.  When I pulled it out, it fell
somewhere in the van and can't find it.  So know I don't know where the fuse
goes or the type of fuse.  My van has been sitting for awhile cause it might
snow or rain.  My van book is in storage in another state.  Please help.

I would install a 15 or 20 amp fuse . Just look for an empty slot.

Wow, thank you so very much. My first step is put the wipers on. Next, get a 15 amp fuse and start to look for empty slots. There is many empty slots. I know more less where to look. If 15 don't work at its best than I will do 20. This might be kind of fun. If they do work I will smile and be happy. You know my van is in very good shape and only 36000 miles. I am the only owner to this van. And she wants to thank you as well. She told me that she is maid to run and travel not sit and look pretty. Thank you once again. If this works. Then you made my day, my week, my. I have not seen my mom in a long time. You should feel good for what you have done for us. Good luck to all of us. Thank you
