Lost 3 qts of oil in 360 miles. oil filler has vacuum, but no blow-by evident. 1998 4.7 V8. Where did the oil go. No exhaust smoke.

Had been using oil at manageable level, but suddenly lost 3 qts of oil in 360
miles, after oil change. No oil filter leak or pan plug leak. Oil filler has vacuum,
and no blow-by evident.  1998 4.7 V8.  Where did the oil go.  No exhaust
smoke.

Check the PCV to make sure it is operating properly. If you lost 3 quarts in 360 miles there will be signs somewhere so look around. You may want to pull a spark plug to see if it is oil fouled and also check the end of the tail pipe for oil. Look in the radiator coolant also.

If you had a oil change shop do the work are you sure they filled it up to begin with?
