how can I tell if my fuel pressure regulator is faulty on a 1995 nissan altima gxe
Get some 1/4" clear aquarium tubing. Put it on the nipple in place of the vacuum line. Carefully suck on the hose while watching for gas in the tube. If you see or smell no gas, put your tongue over the end and see if it holds vacuum. If it holds vacuum and doesn't leak gas, it's good.
thanks tenspeed, I was wondering that myself...see you are making a difference everywhere you go!
Thanks Jay - On the Grand Am site, that's known as the "suck test". It should work on any vacuum powered regulator.
