Hello Tom: We all know that we can improve the gas millage with the way how we drive. Despite factory stats, driving carefully I was able to pull out the following: - summer: city-16mpg; hwy-25mpg - winter: city-10 to 12mpg; hwy-17 to 19 mpg - towing my 4800lbs camper: depends on the wind - 8 to 14mpg hwy. I have 2008 Nissan Pathfinder SE V6. Mike

I recently spent around $120 of fuel for a 6hr drive. Mind you I have just had a full serivce the other day, new plugs, timimg check etc so it should be running better now. Definitely notice it chew through the gas around town, but its all the way you drive. I love the v6 rumble!

Got my 1999 Pathfinder SE 3.3 a year and a half ago. First thing I did was a complete tune-up, new timing belt/water pump/thermostat, and fuel pump, and changed all the fluids. I maintain proper tire pressure, and drive sensibly. Putting around this congested area it gives me a consistent 12 mpg. I've been able to put it on the highway only once, and got 16 mpg. My former, beloved 1995 Pathfinder SE 3.0, which I had for ten years, gave me a little better mpg. I've heard that Pathfinder owners love their vehicles, but hate the gas mileage. True for me, that's why I bought a second one.

I just got a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder LE 4wd. Love it so far. I've had it mostly on 2 lane backroads (pavement, but no stop lights or traffic). It's not in city traffic for more that 10 miles a week. I regularly pull 17 mpg (+/- 0.3). The two times I've had it on the interstate (50 miles), I got 18 mpg.

have a 2007 SE 4x4 auto. I can get up to 22-25 hwy if i stay at 55mph, but if i can make time, i do and get about 19-20 overall but a lot of 70-79mph in there. it's a big square box. run around 16 running errands locally, and about 10-11 towing a 5200# travel trailer (that is also a big box). Air tabs on the trailer rear help handling / but not mpg. looking at a luggage (e.g. Thule) carrier for the roof to improve towing aerodynamics.
