Car trying to cut off at red light, and while driving

Asked by Tonia Jan 29, 2020 at 04:11 AM about the 1998 Nissan Altima GLE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Could I have put some bad gas in my car because
it keeps trying to cut off while driving or sitting
still?

It could just be an idle air control valve or circuit. You can add some dry gas to your tank if you really think you bought some bad gas, but unless you've been buying it from "Joe's Discount Gas and Bait Shop" it's usually the car and not the gas.
