What does an ELEC B 7.5A fuse do on a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder? When replacing my blown fuse, it quickly fries and smokes up the cabin of the SUV.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently when I recently replaced my battery, I used a 12V 225A sears starter to crank my SUV. After wards I could smell an electrical smell in the cabin. I checked the fuses and the 7.5a ELEC B fuse was blown. I tried replacing it and it quickly sparked and fried. The vehicle starts fine now, but I'm not sure what the fuse supported and whether it's being blown can case further problems.
