there is a chance that your fuel pressure regulator is faulty...have you been using Chevron with Techron...I'm of a mind that the stuff cleans alright...the critical components of the fuel system...yah, like the diaphragm of the fuel pressure regulator...I'm not suggesting that you buy one...but check it to make sure that it's doin' it's job~ https://www.google.com/#q=2001+Nissan+Altima+GXE+fuel+pressure+re gulator

....okay the symptoms that you're describing are consistent with a defective EGR valve...also check that one to see if it operates when vacuum is appled to the port~ https://www.google.com/#q=2001+Nissan+Altima+GXE+EGR+valve

if the butyl rubber hoses (chewing gum and coal-tar) are cracked and bloated would recommend changing ALL of them with silicone replacements...these are available from summitracing...everybody's got them....best kept secret~....p.s. 'bout ten times more expensive tho~

If you disassemble the EGR valve (assuming the diaphragm still works) would take a little brake cleaner to it to remove all the carbon and shit that gets accumulated in there...stopping it from operating normally....but "stickin" in the ON position....re-introducing exhaust gasses to "cool combustion temps" when it isn't called for~

of course clean the mating surfaces free of oil and contamination...and order up a gasket for the EGR....we don't want to re-use gaskets...they will leak prematurely~ https://www.google.com/#q=2001%2BNissan%2BAltima%2BGXE%2BEGR %2Bvalve+gasket&tbm=shop

I have a 2010 Altima which while I was going down the driveway, I pushed the accelerator and it rev and wouldn't stop and I crashed. Is there any problems with accelerating for no reason.

When I get into my Altima & crank it then put it in drive or reverse it will not go. When I press the gas petal it would go and the rpms won’t go over 1 1/2. What causes this to happen. When Ichange from reverse to drive and back to reverse I can feel it changing gears
