Just got a new timing chain on a 2003 Nissan Altima. Car is using a lot more gas, now. Is it possible that something happened during this repair that has made the car burn more gas?

Timeing could be off just a little and causing this,or you may need new plugs and wires if they have not been changed in a while,

tune up, plugs, wires and air filter...

If they got the chain off one tooth that could cause the problem. Is the engine power way off too? The tune up that the first two posters mentioned is also a good idea.
