I have a 2003 nissian altima missing two spark
plugs that I wasn't aware of... I took the car to auto
zone and the only code that came up was that it
needed a new throttle body piece... Does that
mean the motor and engine is okay?
So first of all AutoZone hires just about anyone who can operate a cash register, they are not mechanics, they are just $10/hour customer service folks. They told me that the generic EVAP code on my Saturn was a cracked intake manifold, it was the gas cap. Cut to me buying my own OBDII Code Reader. So if the car was missing spark plugs, how was it running? It should've sounded like a helicopter and had no power. Exactly what is the code? The should have printed off a piece of paper and gave it to you. We can then look it up in the manufacturers code list and go from there with some more questions. I will keep an eye on your post.
Yeah, sorry but 2 plugs ,missing doesn't sound right! U sure ? Did u put em bac in? Wat happened if you did, after that? Start there than c wat happens. But 2 plugs missin?
I have been driving it for 3 weeks and didn't realize it was missing spark plugs but it didn't make a noise tho...the codes are p0507
I'm not sure how it was running but it was running fine until I ran out of oil...now that's the only code that came up when they ran it
I think if its running fine leave it! But if u ran with no oil u could have done damage but if its not given u trouble put plugs & fill with oil, fix sensor code and don't worry bout it. There's an old say in "if it ain't broke don't fix it" But make sure to add oil regularly!
