What is the drive cycle for a 2004 Nissan Maxima SE
Did you get the car scanned, what is the 4 digit code?
depends on code. some go away after a few cycles of the ignition and some won't go away until it is cleared.
Code P0128 - Coolant Thermostat (Coolant temperature below thermostat regulating temperature. Apparently I need to put in a new thermostat and or ECT sensor.

Thanks, Robert. Changed out the thermostats housing, replaced ECT Sensor and flushed radiator while I was at it. Everything runs fine and MIL went out. Now I have the timing chain or tension pulleys to deal with. Car sounds like a diesel (rattling noise) when started then subsides after few minutes. Will this hurt engine if I drive it long distances? What can I expect this repair to cost? Thanks, NolesFan
