2005 nissan pathfinder

Asked by Jan 07, 2016 at 07:17 AM about the 2005 Nissan Pathfinder SE

Question type: General

The other day I went to start my SUV.  I turned the
key, all of the dash lights came on like always.
When I turned the key to the start position  nothing
happened.  No click or anything. Tried a battery
charger. But nothing.  Tried jumping it. Nothing
again. Took the battery to AutoZone.  They tested
it and said that it was bad. I bought a new battery.
But it's still doing the same thing. Any
suggestions?

Did you clean the cable ends throughly? You should also check the battery cables condition, look for obvious corrosion or bubbling of the insulation, it is also possible that it popped a main fuse when it was jumped, so you might want to look at those also. HTH

The cables are in good shape. But I did notice that when I turn the key to the on position. There is a buzzing from the engine

That could be a low voltage sound, you may windup having to do voltage drop test on your cables and main circuits. HTH

The noise is coming from a sensor connected to the throttle body assembly

I'm still sticking with a low voltage problem.
