Repalced fuel pump, Relays are good, But fuel pump still not working

Asked by Karim4182 Aug 20, 2014 at 07:40 AM about the 2002 Mitsubishi Galant ES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2002 Galant stopped on me one day when I put in park and hasn't cranked since. I didn't hear the fuel pump so I replaced it. Still nothing. I checked the relays under the hood and inside the access panel at the drivers door. All are good. What else could be causing the fuel pump not to work? Are there any other relays someplace else? By the way the pump doesn't start up when I switch it on but when i switch the ignition off I can hear it whirl a little bit.
