Camry side windows

See if I have your concern correct. While it's raining....visability out the driver side window is not what you expect. So..you lower said window expecting the rubber seal at the lower edge of this window...to wipe the window clean on the way up for better visability. Does the right side window performe the same

Both windows show lots of water beads .... and it's not really WHILE it's raining. I have gone out some mornings after it had stopped raining and tried to put the windows down to clear them off, and it comes up full of water drops.

I have a 2009 Camry. In an attempt to better understand your issue with your vehicle, I hosed down the entire left side of my car with garden hose. I then sat in the driver side seat and lowered the window. I then raised said window fully. About 80% of said window was wiped clean by the rubber seal installed on the door. The edges of said window remained wet. Visability though this window was about 80%. Try this test an your vehicle and get back with results.

It's not the edges I worry about. Yesterday we had a shower. Today when I went out the car and windows were dry and the sun was shining. It was afternoon so I figured all was okay, but I put the window down just to check. It came up wet .... all over. When I went to the dealership I was told that the rubber was just there to keep debris out, not water! This is my 1st Toyota and will definitely be my last.

I agree with Ed above. Also have the Dealer check the Door DRAINS...... usually located at the underside edge of the door. We usually open said door....raise the window completely......then carefully pour water out of a gallon container to the outside of the window while someone under said door watches. Get back with results.

The service dept. guy is the one who told me it was normal. He never even put the window down to check it out .... he looked at the silver stuff on the outside and said it was holding the rubber in right (never touched it or put the window down, and didn't even look at the passenger side) and then dismissed me. I called the the Toyota manufacturing company this morning and after 20 min. of them looking into it I was told that "some" moisture was okay as long as it wasn't inside the car. Like I said ..... my LAST Toyota! Thanks for your suggestions though ... you're the only person who actually tried to help!

2020 Camry XLE. I have same problem with only the driver side window getting wet on the outside after I lower it and raise it. This can last up to 2 days after a rain or a wash. Been to dealer 3 times. They replaced the seal. It still isn’t fixed.

Ed brings up a good point. If the vehicle is still under warranty...the Dealer should fix the issue for free. The rule used to be....the dealer has 3 attempts to correct the issue. If the issue can not be corrected.....you can....under the Lemon Law....request a BUY BACK. Lets do some more homework. Google ...Lemon Law....in the State you live in.

Interesting. Thanks Ed. In this instance...it appears the window goes down Dry?.....then...rolls up wet. I would claim a safety issue based on the claim.... I cannot see what is on tha t side of the vehicle when the window is up....and wet. In NJ......the rule USED to be....the Dealer has 3 attempts to fix ANY defect. 3 strikes your out. Buy Back. This By Back process takes place in Arbitration....not in Court........In NJ. Thanks for your input.

When a window comes up wet, you have a door-to-window seal problem. The squege action isn't working. The dealer should replace the rubber part.
