2005 Galant - will not start (no clicking sound), no lights/electrical. Wait a while, turn key and hold for a few minutes... car starts with lights/electrical but I have to reset everything inside.

Asked by singleton05 Feb 20, 2018 at 04:45 PM about the 2005 Mitsubishi Galant ES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This has happened 4-5 times in the last year... Just replaced the alternator
and battery 5 months ago.
Car starts/runs fine. Get to destination, go to lock the car with remote (did not
work - no sound/no lock). Returned, turn key and car would not start (no
clicking sound, no lights/dash/radio). Left car in parking lot overnight. Went
back next day, held key in starter/ignition for a few minutes, car
started...lights/dash/radio work but had to reset everything.
