What is wrong with my 1999 mercury cougar
have a 1999 mercury cougar v6 2.5l and a
couple months ago my dash cluster started
to act up and then stopped working and
then my car wouldn't start and I would have
to jump it. Now I can't even jump start it
and it doesn't even get any power. I have no
idea what is wrong with it and I really need
to get it fixed because it's my only car. Any
know what may be the problem please let
me know I need all the help I can get.
Oh Lawd! You need a car upgrade, like now!! KA-Pow!! Give up that old junker cause it's blowing serious boners! Get rid of it ASAP!! UGH! Trade this POS car in, Bubba!! Time for a brand new start!! Room-A-Zoom-Zoom, baby!! Summer Sales are still Sizzlin' HOT and you could be stylin' & profilin' in a new ride with fries on the side!! You can do this!
The dash needs battery power to work, sounds like your battery was weak and now there is no charge at all. If you can't jump start it , the battery is completely dead, maybe even a shorted cell. Probe the battery without multimeter, what voltage do you have, or take it to your local auto parts store and they will check it for free.
Thank you and I've done that all and it. But I don't think the fuel pumps kicking in like something is wrong like I cranked it over once and it didn't sound like the fuel pump is kicking in so like something wrong through that whole process
Might be a faulty ignition switch.
