I replaced the air intake valve and i hear air under the hood could this mean i need to replace the pcv hose ? mercury sable 2000 docv
the orginal problem was the car stalling out when it's in idle. now it doesnt stall but runs rough and jumpy in idle.
If you hear air, it means one of the rubber hoses under the hood has a crack or broken. What I do it start the car and open the hood, then carefully pinpoint the area of the air leak and move the hoses around to see which one the sound gets louder or softer, that is the one you want to replace. There are multiple ones in that area on the driver side near the firewall that could be broken.
