Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The Air bag light stays on in my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. I've had it reset and
it comes back on. How can this be fixed & what is causing this? Is there a
recall for this?

Did you retrieve codes when you reset the lite, most SRS problems have to do with crash sensors but they usually show up on a scanner

No, the dealership did not give them to us. Never explained why the light kept coming on. We recently purchased a "code reader".

Check for codes if there is more than One clear the codes then road test to see which one comes back first, as I said crash sensors go bad all the time as does the clockspring but again they will both trip codes. If you can't duplicate it turn the steering wheel lock to lock several times to force codes, I hope this helps yoi
