I have a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer it just started
running hot while I was on the road I have checked
the thermostat but I cannot determine what's
wrong with it can you help me out

I had the same problem.... I had to fix the radiator n flush it... New hoses.... then water pump... them termo. thingy.... good luck...
