The antilock braking system (ABS) uses several different sensors, motors, and a computer in conjunction with the normal braking system of your car. The ABS regulates the brake pressure in order to reduce the chance of wheel lockup. Reduced wheel lock-up improve your control of the vehicle during braking on slippery pavement. Improved stability and steering enable for greater control of the vehicle in the case of an abrupt stop. The ABS operation is available from approx. 3 mph to the maximum vehicle speed.
