Directional will only work for one click, but flashers work all the time?

Could be the contacts in the turn signal lever itself, especially because e-flashers work

Could also be your lighting control module. Ford's LCM's always do funny things like this. One time my Grand Marquis' stopped working completely at 1AM during a snow storm in Vermont. No lights! I had to do some emergency wiring to get home.
