2007 Mercury Sable 1st gear slippage ?

Asked by Jul 22, 2017 at 08:49 PM about the 2004 Mercury Sable LS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Don't think it's the trans, someone suggested maybe fuel injector. Car slips/jolts
when around 1500 rpms.  Trans fluid is full, no leaking

I doubt it would be a fuel injector. Check engine light on? So describe your symptoms in more detail. Does it shift harsh from 1st to 2nd? Feel like it is neutral and noms go up?

thank you. First, I need to correct; its a 2004 Mercury Sable, not an' 07. No engine lights on. Not a hard shift but you can def. feel it when the car goes past 1500 RPMs. Could it be a belt issue?
