Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer 4.6 ltr Premier, yesterday was very hot and I threw the a/c on. was working fine going 0-50 mph, over that I could still hear the blower working but nothing was coming out the dashboard. When I went down under 50 it would come through the dash again. Strange! Anyone have any diagnosis and a fix?

There is a vacuum leak in the line(s) or the blender door is malfunctioning. Check the a/c compressor to make sure that the clutch is engaging and that the belt is tight, but I feel that the problem is not there.
