2000 mpv blows cold air in the heat setting. What can cause this problem?

Asked by Nov 22, 2012 at 05:12 AM about the 2000 Mazda MPV DX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1 Answer

Possibly the valve that allows hot water in to the heater core is not working, not opening, or the linkage to it. I don't know if that particular car is mechanicaly/cable operated or vacuum driven. But in either case, no water in core, no heat. This is assuming your car is up to operating temperature
