2003 motor blew up. Replace that in my 2003
mazda tribute with a 2005 .now the tributes
charging system. Will not charge the battery or
keep it charged

Then just have the alternator checked. But the battery should be checked as well, it could have a short in a cell.

    there are 3 hoses coming off the top of the air intake system on top of the engine. The one closest to the drivers side sucks its self almost all the way closed when you start the engine.
