towing

Asked by dbltap Jan 04, 2009 at 05:22 PM about the 1995 Lincoln Continental FWD

Question type: General

I have a 95 continental and would like to know what the towing capacity is and if there are any accessories needed like an aux transmission cooler etc. Thinking of towing a Bass Boat.
Thanks

How big is the boat? As a general rule, never tow anything over 1000 lbs. with a car, and it is best to keep it under 750 or 500 depending on the size of your engine, frame, and suspension. You'd probably be alright with a car as big as a continental since they have pickup truck engines.
