Ford 1998 Escort V6 swap

Asked by Kameron Oct 27, 2018 at 01:50 PM about the 1998 Ford Escort 4 Dr LX Sedan

Question type: Car Customization

I'm considering buying a 1998 Ford Escort with an I4 and five speed transmission. I have a Chevy V6 3.8L 3800 liter out of a fifth gen Monte Carlo, and I was wondering, is there enough space in the engine bay to do this swap? Thanks for reading this.

Measure it and see. You do know that this swap would cost a boat load of money and when you are done (probably never) the car will be worth almost nothing?

Just to clarify, I already have the engine, but not the car. The car I'm looking at getting is currently for sale at about 300 dollars, so it would be *relatively* cheap. If someone could get the measurements of the bay for me, I could get the measurements of the engine to see.
