I'm am thinking about buying a 2000 v8 Lincoln ls , the suspension and front joints have been replaced and repaired , I am a huge fan of rwd v8s and I'm just afraid of getting into a money pit

You'll be fine. These are good cars... I have friends who own them and love them. Read some of the reviews for them on this site and other sites.

The 2000 was the first LS, offering either the 3.0L V6 or the 3.9L V8, the latter a Jaguar designed and manufactured engine. Fine car. As for being a money pit, well it can be depending on how it was treated before. I don't know that about the valve springs tommcmanis, I believe you..not disputing, that it's just something I didn't know. The 3.0L is a bit underpowered at 205 HP, even for a mid size car, it weighs almost as much as a Town car at 3700lbs. But with the 3.9 at 252HP, that car will do 0 to 60 in 7.1 seconds Not bad
