Why is this?

Why is it that my power steering
pump cap pop's off. And pump
only works sometimes when I
zipptie it on.i don't even know if it's
the wrong one. or lines crossed.o
just don't know.

The cap probably has a vent. If the vent was plugged up, pressure could build up an pop the cap off.
