Frustrated Kia Won't Behave Itself

Asked by KIAMOM1317 Apr 16, 2018 at 07:42 PM about the 2004 Kia Rio RX-V Sport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car won't stop shaking between 90km/h
-110km/h (highway speed) I'm constantly having to
drive on the highway too and from work my car
started shaking really bad. I've jacked it up and
looked I've replace the ball joints it was okay for a
bit than started again I thought it was my sway bar
so I got the sway bar linkage and installed it on
drivers side going to replace the passenger side on
the weekend It was running great than someone on
highway was at my bumper so I pushed it up to
115-120 to get past other car and get into other
lane so he could pass and ever since it's started
shaking super bad again. Everyone keeps telling
me it's my cv joint but it does not make the Klunk
sound when I'm turning hard right or left I've gotten
an alignment still nothing. My next thing is maybe
tire rods but don't want to replace them if I don't
have to they are like $120 each. Please help I'm
doing all the work myself and I have my 2 boys
under the age of 5  in my vehicle with me.

I'm not driving at high speeds with my children in the car I drive the speed limit posted on all of our highway signs. So no need to be concerned about my children's safety in my vehicle when I'm doing the posted speed limit if not slower than the posted speed limit. I'm sorry but I've taken in to shops lots of times every single one tells me the car is perfectly fine. So I'm sure me fixing my car and taking care of it isn't a bad thing. I was asking for suggestions on what might actually be the problem with my vehicle I didn't want or need someone telling me about my parenting and my driving when they have no idea what they are talking about so unless your suggestion is what might be wrong with my vehicle and what I should maybe look at please keep your parenting suggestions and accusations about me to your self. Thank you very much for your concern with my children but it's not needed. If you have a suggestion on what might actually be wrong with my car please let me no. If you knew anything about mechanics you would have said so instead of telling me to take it to a shop that costs more than my rent when I'm perfectly capable of fixing my car myself. No need to be sexist now. Just because I'm female doesn't mean I don't no how to fix my car. I'm just running out of ideas on what could pissy be wrong with my car thank you :) :) :)

And you answer your question yes I have taken it in to get aligned every time I've done any kind of work to my car. I'm far from stupid and have bin working around vehicles my whole life I just don't no anything about Kias they at every different from any other vehicle I have worked on cause it's a sports car.
