Car wouldn't stay running

Could be a number of things. If no check engine light, you will just be changing random parts until you figure it out. Before you start sinking any real money into it, you can start by doing a simple tune up. Change your plugs, fuel filter, air filter, PVC valve. You may have a gummed up Idle Air Control valve also. Steviejane, What you describe to me sounds the same as a problem I had on a 97 Accord XL V6, but you need to verify thru the codes. There is a poorly designed air port under the egr valve. You need to remove the valve & the intake plenum it is attached to, re-drill the port hole, then drive a steel sleeve into the hole (makes it bigger and smoother than the OEM design) then replace every thing back on engine and good to go. I had it happen to my 2013 Honda Accord. Had it towed to the dealer and they said it is a clogged throttle body. Cost $75 plus $105 for the tow. I sure wish I knew That before the tow.

Same thing with me. I changed my gas cap and issue gone. It would happen when I'd drive it on the ferry for a minute then park. When I would go to drive again it would start but wouldn't stay running.
