When should the fan next to the radiator be moving?
At about half temp on your guage, fan should cut on
There are a couple of systems on a Jeep, 1 system has a regular fan that is driven by the engine and an electric fan that is turned on with the A/C, the other system has a fan that is driven by the power steering pump and no electric fan, and the last system I've seen has 2 electric fans, one is turned on by the engine temp around 220 degrees and the other fan is turned on with the A/C. So what system is yours?
Hey there Tennisshoes , my electric fans kick in about 100 degrees, dam yankie. Don't forget that us Canucks use Celsius. [did I spell that right?] So to the savages that 220 F and to us civilized folks that 100C.;):)
So the poster didn't say Amercian or Foregin, but as it was a Jeep so American.
Any way you two,it,s the same thing anyway.IF its hot is hot if it,s cold it,s cold. : )
Chass you in Canada ,long way from me,i am in south Ga. USA
@tennisshoes - we get to buy Yankie cars too, but they get changed to KPH instead of MPH and C instead of F and litres instead of gallons. I was TRYING to be funny; [was NOT pokeing fun]..... hey- I've answered questions on this site from South Africa,Australia and England ( and I think one was Russian)
@Mark- hot is hot,and cold is cold and never the twain shall meet.;)...and I figured Georgia by your accent.
; ) how you can,t here me. .: )
Lmao and did fall off my chair with that one.
