Jeep Liberty overheating after radiator replacement

Asked by Heidi Aug 02, 2019 at 01:32 AM about the 2005 Jeep Liberty Sport 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Radiator cracked on way to work, Replaced
radiator. Now my Jeep is constantly overheating,
fan is new, thermal temperature sensor is new,
second thermostat, heater works. I smell no
coolant, see no steam, no leaks. Burped it
numerous times even welding together an air tight
hose attachment to so I can flush it with some
pressure. Although my radiator fan only comes on
when my heater is on, and I'm pretty sure I hear my
blower fan come on in the back when thermostat
opens if that's even what that sound is. I'm not
sure how to tell if coolant is actually flowing
through my system or if it's just sitting in there.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

darn...So even if I open the radiator drain plug and coolant comes out, that might not mean that the coolant is necessarily flowing or circulating?

No radiator cap, just coolant Reservoir. Flushed system with hose, water was spewing out of the hose side and bleeding side of the radiator, so I don't think its clogged, plus it's brand new. Radiator fan only comes on when heater is on, not sure if that's the thermostat or wiring problem. (thermostat is new as well). thanks again for input, I'm so over this darn jeep....
