2017 SONATA HYBRID HEV FAILURE FOR THE 6TH TIME

my 2017 sonata hybrid(POS) HEV light came on for the 6th time on the
freeway and I white knuckled it through traffic witrhout incident. it has been in
the shop now off an on for 18 months. software updates, they said 3 times
repaired it only to fail again. The transmission was replaced and 6 months
later same deal, HEV failure and to the side of the road again. The "Super
techs" reviewed the case now and said it is the EGR valve assembly and
housing to a cost of $3500.00 to replace the assembly.... They also said that
the "In-balance" in the Hybrid SYstem caused the transmission fo fail the first
time.... Utter nonsense. some folks say it is the water pump and now the
EGR.... I do not feel safe in the car now.....anybody knows WTF is going on?

Hyundai provides the leading edge of technology. It's a shame that it takes them ten years to figure out how it works. Maybe a Toyota would have been a wiser purchase.
