Subaru crosstrek lights

Im thinking about upgrading lights in my crosstrek, and I
don’t know where the daytime running lights are located
and/also what the boomerang lights do, if those are the
DRL’s this might be a stupid question..

If the Crosstrek is like my Forester the daytime running lights are simply the high beams that run at a reduced brightness.
