Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey everyone,  I have a 1999 Ford Contour, my problem is
the battery goes completely dead after sitting over
night..and after I boost it , it'll run fine for 5 mins then the
car starts to over charge sometimes up to 16 volts? I have
replaced the battery i have replaced the alternator and I
have also replaced the voltage regulator on the said
alternator....now hears the other part when I unhook the 3
wire led from the alternator over night I have a full battery in
the morning...im thinking is either the ignition switch or
PCM..any help greatly appreciated. Engine is a 2.0 4
cylinder.

look for an obvious wiring problem , loose/broken/grounding out . Sounds like one of those wires from the alt is grounding out . That cars old you should think twice about putting a bunch of money into it .
