why is my engine light on?

engine light on and it has a tranny code  tranny was replaced and brain box
installed   now light back on says related to tranny or sensor dont remember  
tighten gas cap today and light went off for5 min  gas cap can it be related to
engine light no other light on

Visit your local auto parts store and have them scan the computer. Most stores will scan the computer for free. Once you get the trouble codes post them here and we can help further. Jim
