can i just swap out the pinion housing with the pinion gear attached on a chevey 10 bolt with a used one with out having to set the whip and lash? I just want to swap from one rear end to another.

If you are swapping out the entire pumpkin with the gears already installed then you can just bolt it in. Make sure the gears are wearing correctly and that the bearings are OK.
